Every handbag loving girl out there has her ultimate dream bag. The one bag that will complete her, and satisfy her in every "fashion" way possible. You know the bag that just makes her smile from cheek to cheek when in conversation about it with friends; the bag she can't seem to shut up about; the bag she stairs at when walking by the window of her favorite store; the bag she has to look at every time she goes online; the bag she has written on every wish list found throughout her house. Yes, I'm sure you have a dream bag too.

My ultimate dream bag is the Louis Vuitton Multicolore Speedy 30. I remember the first time I saw this bag was on an episode of Newlyweds and Jessica Simpson took it camping with her. As soon as I saw her wearing the Multicolore Speedy I was took! It was gorgeous, stunning, and the most beautiful handbag I had ever seen in my life. Once the episode was over I found myself doing research on this bag and had found out it was a whole line Louis Vuitton had came out with. I was entrigued, and was craving a piece of this collection especially the Speedy.

The Multicolore collection was a collaboration between Marc Jacobs and Takashi Murakami. It debuted in the Spring of 2003 in Louis Vuitton stores across the country and was ultimately supposed to be a Limited Edition collection. The collection was so successful that Marc Jacobs decided to make it a permanent line. Boy, was I happy! The collection, at the time, consisted of the Speedy 30, Alma, Keepall, Mini HL, Pochette Accessories, Porte Monnaie Plat, Porte Tressor International, Cles, and Mirror. I wanted to grab my hands on every piece, but I knew that wasn't possible.

When the collection came out, I did have a Monogram Pochette but I could not afford to get a Multicolore Speedy with the hefty price of over $1,000. Not only could I not afford it, but even if I could, the collection was completely sold out everywhere. I found myself constantly going on eLUXURY seeing when new shipments were posted, even though I couldn't buy anything, it was fun to see the new purses come in and disappear in minutes.

One day I had walked into a Louis Vuitton boutique here in South Florida, and saw a Multicolore Pochette Accessories. I couldn't believe it! This collection was sold out everywhere, and I found one? How is that possible? My Mother being the kind person she is, surprised me and bought it for me for Valentines day! That was my very first piece of the Multicolore Collection and I knew it was just the beginning of an obsession.

As the time went on I did acquire more pieces of the collection. Louis Vuitton kept adding pieces to the collection but kept increasing the prices. I currently own the Pochette Accessories, Audra, Porte Monnaie Plat, Alexandra, iPod holder, and Cles. I'm still dreaming of the day I can get my dream bag, the Multicolore Speedy. It really is like a little girl in the toy store. She wants that dream barbie in the case, but she has all the ones not in the case. It still doesn't satisfy her until she has that golden barbie in the case. The Multicolore Speedy now retails for $2,170, and I'm still wanting it even though it comes with a hefty price. It might burn a big whole in my pocket, but I'm thinking this would make a lovely birthday gift to myself.
